POOJANIYA POOJYAM
POOJANIYA POOJYAM/2021Acrylic on canvas24×36in"Poojaniya Poojyam" is a Malayalam title, which means "The Venerable Zero." Zero represents a point of consciousness of infinity, addressing both positives and negatives, making everything countable and uncountable. It is a dynamic point of life, played out by involving both abstraction and concreteness. This artwork also represents several themes and symbols, including:
- Pranamam (Namasthe)
- Pranavam (or the sound AUM)
- Sandhya (the transitional moments of dawn and dusk)
- The Bindu (the dot or point representing the infinite)
- Mahadevi (Goddess Shakthi, depicted in red, sitting in the lap of Lord Shiva, depicted in white)
- Shivalingam (the symbol of Lord Shiva)

"The textured, mathematical elements in this artwork subtly emerge without relying on specific colors, symbolizing the harmonious coexistence of abstraction and concreteness. This neutral space is Poojyam (the zero), life, and nature – a singular essence, indivisible and one."
